Healthy Fruit Smoothies

Smoothies, whether veggie based or fruit based offer an abundance
of vitamins and wealth of health in a glass. The choices are limitless.
Choose your favourites, be creative and the outcome will be...well
wildly delicious. Whenever you have overripe bananas that you do not want to eat, stick them in the freezer and use them in smoothies perfect when the urge strikes.

FRUIT & FLAX

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup low fat yogurt ( I love Liberty brand)
  • 1 large, really really ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons flax seed
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract do not use imitation
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 4 ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
Serve in tall glasses and brace yourself for sweet energy...

TIP: Feel free to add in your favourite or overripe fruit, more flavours will compound the taste.
