Ribs to Fight For
Grilling seems to be synonymous with guys, a kind of testosterone binding thing that brings out the Fred Flintstone "Master of the Grill" deal! With Father's Day around the corner, what better than to talk about the merits of the barbecue. I have given you some good flavours to experiment with, so get out there and grill baby grill!!!
Ingredients:
4 racks baby back ribs (allow about 6-8 ribs per person)
1 onion, cut into quarters
1 large carrot, cut into chunks
1 bay leaf
8-10 whole peppercorns
1 celery stalk, cut into chunks
1 tsp. sea salt
1 bottle THE FIRE CHEF BBQ sauce, maybe more
Method:
1. Place the ribs and all the remaining ingredients, except for the BBQ sauce in a large pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let the ribs simmer for about 45 minutes. Remove the ribs, discard the remainder.
2. Place the ribs on a baking tray and generously slather them with the BBQ sauce. Grill over medium high heat brushing the ribs with additional sauce, turning and brush until the ribs are golden brown and almost falling from the bone. Transfer to a serving platter and chow down!
